We Still Have Hope!

Heavenly Father I give you praise and thank you for another day that you have decided to wake me up. In a world now that is full of chaos and things seem to be out of control, I know that you are still in control. I join with the songwriter who penned the lyrics, “My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus' blood and righteousness, I dare not trust the sweetest frame, but wholly lean on Jesus' name.”

We usually pray and ask for material things, but today we ask you to increase our faith. In a world that is shaken, we ask that you help us to not have our faith shaken and to keep us on that firm foundation, which is you. Help us dear Lord to keep our eyes fixed on you and not what is going on around us. You said in your word “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.”

Father God, I trust in you in spite of what the enemy has planned for me, because I know that you have for me are bigger and better plans. Although I may not be able to understand everything that’s going around me, I end this prayer by letting you know that I trust you. Even when I can’t trace you, I’ll still trust you. You are my hope!

Amen!!

Text to meditate on:

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

Jeremiah 29:11 NIV

Our Daily Prayer for Friday - Millie McFarland

“O Israel, hope in the Lord; For with the Lord there is mercy, And with Him is abundant redemption.”

Psalms 130:7

Scripture & Prayer Submitted by: Millie McFarland

Heavenly Father, God of heaven and earth; we come to you in humble adoration. We praise you for who you are. We lift our hands in worship to your Holy presence.

Lord, teach us to be still and hear your voice; your voice saying, "I am your your hope".

Fill us with your hope and remind us that your hope is an unbreakable spiritual lifeline. Father, it is your grace, mercy and hope that carries us through when we are in despair. Lord, you have redeemed and saved us from our sins; because of our salvation in you we have a blessed hope.

Father, today we stand in your presence in need of your guidance; give us the wisdom to make good decisions as a nation. Bless our leaders to see the vision of good things to come in you. Let it be your will and not what we think it should be. God arise and let your enemies be scattered. Let it be you to lead every person making decisions concerning your people. Reassure your people you are with us every step of the way.

Lord Jesus, help us to hold steadfast in prayer and in your word. Teach us to rely on your word and that we may apply it to our lives. Your word is living water and it gives us life. Father, your word gives us hope; teach us to shine the light of Hope for those in need. Lord, let us be an example of Your love and mercy; so, the lost may find you and have that blessed hope.

Father, I pray for comfort and strength for those who are struggling and feel like giving up. Reassure them you are with them; that you never leave or forsake them. Let them feel your love that never fails. Mend the broken hearted and restore to them what the enemy has taken from them. Father, Your hope brings redemption and healing in your wings. Cover each with your blood and surround them with a hedge of protection against the darts of the enemy.

Father, order our steps and keep us focused in you. Lord, don't let us look to the left or to the right; keep our eyes fixed on you. Guide our path and let us see what you want our spiritual eyes to see. Give us discernment and let us be watchful of your kingdom.

Father,  shake off those chains that bind your children. Help us walk in our freedom; freedom from the lies of our enemy. Today we walk worthy in your Hope and we thank you for setting us free from all the bondage of sin. Lord, you have wiped away every tear, and we can see the sun shining. It's a brand new day with a new mercy. We can start all over again; because everything is possible when we place our hope, our faith and our trust in you. Thank you for Your saving grace and Your blessed hope. In Jesus name we Pray. Amen

Our Daily Prayer for Wednesday - Joyce Vickers

“Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”

John 14:27

Our God who is above all things. Without You Lord we are nothing. You are our Savior, our Redeemer, our Healer, our Deliverer. We exalt & magnify you Father.

Father we thank you for all you have done for us. We thank you because it is you who wakes us up every morning. It is You who guides our every footstep. It is You who protects us from dangers seen and unseen.

So many things are happening in these days Father. People are distracted by the circumstances in their lives. It could be illnesses, fear, anxiety and so many other things. So many times Father people are turning to the world for help and peace. Your word says You leave your peace with us. Thank you for your peace Father. Your peace is eternal and the world’s peace is temporal.

So, Father when situations come into our lives, let us not worry or be distracted. Let us not take our focus off you. Remind us Father that the peace of God which passes all understanding, shall keep our hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

In the Matchless Name of Jesus we pray

Amen
