Our Daily Prayer for Thursday - Millie McFarland Bilingual Spanish/English

“And whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father also who is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.”

Mark 11:25 ESV

Scripture & Prayer Submitted by: Millie McFarland

Holy and Righteous Father, I give you all the glory, honor and praise. I thank you for being such a good and faithful Father. I thank you for your forgiveness and for never giving up on me.

Father, as we get closer to Father's Day I can't help but to think about all those that feel abandoned by their biological father. Those that were raised by just their mothers and those that didn't have any of their parents in their lives. I know that this is a hard time for them, so I pray that you reveal yourself to them and begin to help them heal from the hurt of not having their father/mother in their lives. I pray that they may forgive them so they may be free from that resentment. The word tells us to forgive as you have forgiven us.

Father, I pray that each be open to forgiveness, so they begin to heal and walk in freedom. I thank you father for hearing my hearts cry. Minister to each one reading this prayer and draw them close. I lay this prayer at you feet. In Jesus name I pray.

Amen

Our Daily Prayer for Thursday - Bishop Kenneth Trawick Bilingual Spanish/English

"He will turn the hearts of the fathers to their children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers."

Malachi 4:6 NKJV

Scripture & Prayer Submitted by: Bishop Kenneth Trawick

Food for thought:

One of the greatest blessings in my life is the blessing of being a father. In a world where fathers are missing in the lives of their children, we hold fast to the words found here in Malachi. Truly, there is a need for God to turn the hearts of the fathers back to their children and the relationship that was ordained by God to be reestablished.

Seeing my two sons develop into great men of God and loving fathers has been a great comfort to me. God help each of us men to cherish our role as fathers, grandfathers, and spiritual fathers. We have a mandate from our Heavenly Father to exemplify His love and grace on this earth. We will accept the challenge with confidence knowing that God is with us and that he will give us the strength and courage to prevail.

Prayer:

Dear God, as we face the challenges of fatherhood, give us the courage and strength needed for the task. Help us Lord to be a light for our children, and to leave clear footprints on our journey that they can follow safely. Rebuild relationships that have been broken, and knit the heart of each father and child together with cords that cannot be broken. It is from you that we gain our knowledge and strength to be the fathers that you have called us to be. Grant these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.

Amen

Our Daily Prayer for Fathers Day - Pastor Caleb Rodriguez

“Have we not all one Father?
Has not one God created us?
Why do we deal treacherously with one another
By profaning the covenant of the fathers?”

Malachi 2:10 (NKJV)

Scripture & Prayer submitted by: Pastor Caleb Rodriguez

Dear Heavenly Father, your Word teaches us that we are all your children by creation (Gen. 1:26-28), and You do not want us to treat each other treacherously, but rather expect all human beings to deal equitably with one another.

It is quite evident that racism, bigotry and hatred seem to be running rampant in our society today. The world may try to identify all kinds of different reasons as to why all of this may be occurring & some have very valid points of reasoning that we do not overlook. However, in searching the Scriptures we know that “sin” is the major cause of mankind’s issues & failures!!! Sin separates us from God. Sin causes people to deal treacherously with one another and this leads to profaning the covenant of our spiritual leaders & forefathers. This is why we pray that all of Your children by creation would repent of their sins; come to the saving grace of Jesus Christ, and truly become Your children by “adoption” as it says in Romans 8:14-16

14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. 15 For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out “Abba, Father.” 16 The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God…

As it is also confirmed in Galatians 4:5-7:

5 to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons. 6 And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out, “Abba, Father!” 7 Therefore you are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.

Then and only then, can Your Holy Spirit produce the fruit of Godly love, in your adopted children; which will enable them to truly love their neighbor as themselves and not deal treacherously with one another!!!

May we yield our hearts and wills to our Lord, always. We ask these things in the Matchless Name of Jesus.

Amen!!!
