It’s hard to comprehend the love of God with our small, feeble minds. It’s a love that overlooks our short comings and our failures. A love that reaches far beyond who we are at the moment and sees “Who’s” we are and who we can become. It’s a love that came to give life so we can live.

Prayer:

Father, in the Name of Jesus, we lift you up, and we exalt you. We are amazed at your love for us. We cannot fully comprehend a great love that would give up an only son so that we could live. We did not deserve it, yet you gave anyway. You gave up your son Jesus, because you loved us so much and desired a relationship with us. You allowed him to die so that we could live. You looked beyond our faults and you saw our need. And then you took the greatest step to meet that need by sending Jesus. There is no greater love than your love. We love you because you first loved us. How can we say thanks except to give you all that we are, with all of our heart, and all of our soul and all of our strength. We give thanks with a grateful heart. Amen.

Es difícil comprender el amor de Dios con nuestras mentes pequeñas y débiles. Es un amor que pasa por alto nuestros defectos y nuestros fracasos. Un amor que va mucho más allá de lo que somos en este momento y ve “quiénes” somos y en quién podemos llegar a ser. Es un amor que vino a dar vida para que podamos vivir.

Oración:

Padre, en el Nombre de Jesús, te levantamos y te exaltamos. Estamos asombrados de tu amor por nosotros. No podemos comprender plenamente un gran amor que renunciaría a un hijo único para que pudiéramos vivir. No lo merecíamos, pero de todos modos lo diste. Renunciaste a tu hijo Jesús, porque nos amabas mucho y deseabas una relación con nosotros. Le permitiste morir para que pudiéramos vivir. Miraste más allá de nuestras faltas y viste nuestra necesidad. Y luego diste el paso más grande para satisfacer esa necesidad al enviar a Jesús. No hay amor más grande que tu amor. Te amamos porque tú nos amaste primero. ¿Cómo podemos decir gracias sino darte todo lo que somos, con todo nuestro corazón, y con toda nuestra alma y todas nuestras fuerzas? Damos gracias con un corazón agradecido. Amén.

Lord, as I hear these words, how I wish I had adhered to these over the years. We want to control outcomes and often ignore the “red flags” that come our way. As I think over many of my decisions over the years, time was spent on worrying, creating my perceived “perfect scenarios'’ and not heeding your word.

How often have we convinced ourselves or others when making bad decisions, that it is God’s plan. I look back and realize the Lord was trying to redirect me. Sound advice from family and close friends were often dismissed since I knew what I was doing. In retrospect, God was working through them.

Lord, you knew what you were doing. I had to go through some “valleys” and hardship to appreciate, it's all in your hands. The peace and clear introspection that I feel today is a testament to you Lord. Every step is clearly defined. I spend time with you daily and peace engulfs my thoughts. I have left anxious thoughts behind. Your timing Lord is my eternal “calendar”.

In times of sadness or loneliness, I will follow your lead. I am never alone with you by my side. You are directing my path, I know that you have other plans for me. Lord, I will obediently wait for your timing always.

Amen

Señor, al escuchar estas palabras, cómo desearía haberlas cumplido a lo largo de los años. Queremos controlar los resultados y, a menudo, ignoramos las “señales de alerta” que se nos presentan. Mientras pienso en muchas de mis decisiones a lo largo de los años, dediqué tiempo a preocuparme, a crear los “escenarios perfectos” que percibía y a no prestar atención a mi palabra.

¿Cuántas veces nos hemos convencido a nosotros mismos o a otros, al tomar malas decisiones, de que es el plan de Dios? Miro hacia atrás y me doy cuenta de que el Señor estaba tratando de redirigirme. Los buenos consejos de familiares y amigos cercanos a menudo eran ignorados porque sabía lo que estaba haciendo. En retrospectiva, Dios estaba obrando a través de ellos.

Señor, sabías lo que estabas haciendo. Tuve que pasar por algunos “valles” y penurias para poder apreciarlo, todo está en tus manos. La paz y la clara introspección que siento hoy es un testimonio para ti Señor. Cada paso está claramente definido. Paso tiempo contigo a diario y la paz envuelve mis pensamientos. He dejado atrás los pensamientos ansiosos. Tu tiempo Señor es mi “calendario” eterno.

En momentos de tristeza o soledad, seguiré tu ejemplo. Nunca estoy solo contigo a mi lado. Estás dirigiendo mi camino, sé que tienes otros planes para mí. Señor, esperaré obedientemente siempre tu tiempo.

Father, thank You for sending Jesus to earth to walk amongst us. To be able to actually interact with God in a human form was surely a privilege for those in Israel back then! Thank you Jesus for temporarily denying all the wonderful benefits of being all-knowing and all-powerful to humble Yourself and take on the form of we lowly humans.

When we feel like everything is against us please help us to remember that You know exactly what it's like to live the human experience and because of that You have compassion for all that we go through. And not only that but Lord You promised us the Helper, the Holy Spirit to be with us and to be our Teacher and to guide us into all truth.

Even if we at times feel lonely the reality is we are never alone. Thank you Lord for your presence! Remind us Lord that You never leave us nor forsake us. We thank You for all these things in Jesus name, Amen.

Padre, gracias por enviar a Jesús a la tierra para caminar entre nosotros. ¡Poder interactuar realmente con Dios en una forma humana fue sin duda un privilegio para aquellos en Israel en ese entonces! Gracias Jesús por negar temporalmente todos los maravillosos beneficios de ser omnisciente y todopoderoso para humillarte y tomar la forma de nosotros, los humanos humildes.

Cuando sentimos que todo está en nuestra contra, por favor ayúdanos a recordar que Tú sabes exactamente cómo es vivir la experiencia humana y por eso tienes compasión por todo lo que atravesamos. Y no solo eso, sino que Señor nos prometiste el Consolador, el Espíritu Santo para estar con nosotros y ser nuestro Maestro y guiarnos a toda la verdad.

Incluso si a veces nos sentimos solos, la realidad es que nunca estamos solos. ¡Gracias Señor por tu presencia! Recuérdanos Señor que nunca nos dejas ni nos desamparas. Te damos gracias por todas estas cosas en el nombre de Jesús, Amén.
