Theme: In the waiting

Almighty God and Creator, we wait upon you Lord. When we are anxious and we can only find our true rest in you. Why do we linger in places where we have no strength, where we have no joy? Why do we accept being spent like salt that has lost its saltiness and is put under our feet?

You are Jehovah Jireh, our Provider! You are Jehovah Shalom, our Peace! You are Awesome and Holy, and yet you see each of us from on high and up close. We are your daughters and sons on our knees, in our cars, and at our desks. Son of God, we thank you as you meet us in this fallen place and draw us to the Father. You said, “if you’ve seen me, you’ve seen the Father.” Thank you Jesus! May we lean and know we are seen, loved and worthy. Strengthen our hearts this day and the next. Give us courage as long as we have breath, and “Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.”

Dios Todopoderoso y Creador, en ti esperamos Señor. Cuando estamos ansiosos y sólo podemos encontrar en ti nuestro verdadero descanso. ¿Por qué nos quedamos en lugares donde no tenemos fuerzas, donde no tenemos alegría? ¿Por qué aceptamos que nos gasten como sal que ha perdido su sabor y se pone bajo nuestros pies?

¡Tú eres Jehová Jireh, nuestro Proveedor! ¡Tú eres Jehová Shalom, nuestra Paz! Eres Impresionante y Santo y, sin embargo, nos ves a cada uno de nosotros desde lo alto y de cerca. Somos sus hijas e hijos de rodillas, en nuestros autos y en nuestros escritorios. Hijo de Dios, te damos gracias porque nos encuentras en este lugar caído y nos atraes al Padre. Dear Father God,

Thank You for sending Jesus, Who was the great example of a man Who walked in spirit and truth and Who waited upon god.

A man with a servant-heart and a desire to do Your will.

Thank You for Jesus, Who throughout His life demonstrated Himself to be a person

that would wait on You in every situation and do only those things that He heard from You.

Father, in the power of the Holy Spirit, I pray that I too may learn how to wait on You and quietly rest in Your will.

Lord, I want to be emptied of self in order that I may be filled with You.

Thank You that Jesus is our worthy example as well as being our Redeemer and Savior.

To You belongs all power, wisdom, majesty and strength and without You, I can do nothing.

Querido Padre Dios,

Gracias por enviar a Jesús, quien fue el gran ejemplo de un hombre que caminó en espíritu y en verdad y que esperó en Dios.

Un hombre con corazón de servidor y deseo de hacer Tu voluntad.

Gracias por Jesús, que a lo largo de Su vida demostró ser una persona

que esperaría en Ti en cada situación y haría sólo aquellas cosas que Él escuchó de Ti.

Padre, en el poder del Espíritu Santo, oro para que yo también pueda aprender a esperar en Ti y descansar tranquilamente en Tu voluntad.

Señor, quiero despojarme de mí para poder ser lleno de Ti.

Dear Lord Jesus,

At times I feel so weary and tired as I seek to carry out the duties and tasks of each day.

Help me Lord, to step aside from the business of the day and to spend time simply waiting upon You,

for You have promised that those who wait on You will renew their strength,

they will mount up with wings as eagles, they will run and not grow weary they shall walk and not faint.

Lord, too often I try to do things in my own strength and only when I grow weary does it occur

to take steps to consciously abide in You and to cast all my cares upon You.

Teach me Lord, to truly abide in You, moment by moment, and to learn to wait for You as my first option, rather than as a last resort.

Show me I pray, what it truly means to wait in the Lord, and to abide in You moment by moment.

Help me Lord, to cast all my burdens on You and learn to wait on You in every situation.

Thank You for hearing my prayer. In Jesus' name I pray,

A veces me siento tan cansado y cansado mientras busco realizar los deberes y tareas de cada día.

Ayúdame Señor, a apartarme de los asuntos del día y pasar tiempo simplemente esperándote,

porque has prometido que los que en ti esperan renovarán sus fuerzas,

levantarán alas como las águilas, correrán y no se cansarán, caminarán y no se fatigarán.

Señor, muchas veces trato de hacer las cosas con mis propias fuerzas y sólo cuando me canso sucede

tomar medidas para permanecer conscientemente en Ti y depositar todas mis preocupaciones sobre Ti.

Enséñame, Señor, a permanecer verdaderamente en Ti, momento a momento, y a aprender a esperarte como mi primera opción, y no como último recurso.

Muéstrame, te lo ruego, lo que realmente significa esperar en el Señor y permanecer en Ti momento a momento.

Ayúdame Señor, a echar todas mis cargas sobre Ti y aprender a esperar en Ti en cada situación.

Dear God,

I pray that by turning to You in prayer, You will teach me how to wait patiently and to listen.

Please help me to stay still and quiet so that I can hear You.

I am an altar server at our church. I get to sit right up in the sanctuary close to the readers.

I try really hard to listen to what they say because I know that it's from Jesus and about You.

I really love learning about Jesus' life on earth. There was a lot of waiting!

Poor Mary and Joseph had to wait to see where Jesus would be born.

Jesus had to wait knowing that he was going to suffer and die for us.

Easter is a wonderful celebration of the promise of waiting to rise again like Jesus did.

On the last day, You will reunite our bodies and souls, God.

I pray that in the waiting, people remember that we're all waiting to be with You in heaven.

Dear God,

I know that waiting can mean lots of things. Someone who takes your order at a restaurant and then brings your food, is waiting on you.

Another kind of waiting is when you have done something wrong and are waiting to find out your punishment.

That's a bad kind of waiting!

A hard kind of waiting that's sort of fun is waiting to open your Christmas or birthday presents.

You can get really excited doing that kind of waiting!

I know that You are with me no matter what kind of waiting I am doing.

Thank You for promising that You will be with me always.

Heavenly Father, I come into your presence with a heart of thanksgiving and praise. I thank you for your unconditional love and for never leaving or forsaking me.

Father, I thank you for all the godly women you placed in my life. They have been a source of support and love in my life. I thank you Lord for instilling in them your word. I pray that we all can do everything we do in love, as your word tells us. I pray we can all be an example of your unconditional love.

Father, I pray for all those struggling in anyway, and I ask that you wrap your loving arms around them and reassure them they are not alone. I pray that you make away where there is no way and be their source of peace in their times of storm. Father heal those that need healing. Deliver those that are in bondage and save those that do not know you as their Lord and Savior. Saturate each with your love and give each hope for a better tomorrow.

Father, I thank you for hearing my hearts cry. I love you and I thank you for who you are. In Jesus mighty name I pray.
