Our Daily Prayer on this National Day of Prayer - Millie McFarland
“Wait on the Lord;
Be of good courage,
And He shall strengthen your heart;
Wait, I say, on the Lord!”

Holy and Eternal Father, I humbly come to your throne of Grace in adoration and worship. Today I prostrate at your feet in reverence to your Sovereignty. Father, let us not forget you are Holy and Righteous; your kingdom is established over all.
Father, today I lift up this world that is in turmoil; with one breath you can calm the raging sea and command the winds to be still. Lord, remind us to be still and to wait upon you as you strengthen our hearts. Lord, there are many afflicted, many isolated, many suffering from anxiety and depression. Lord, sometimes people feel forgotten and alone. Father, breathe the breath of life into each. Give them each an unspeakable joy and your perfect peace. Remind them that they are Loved and not alone. Wrap your loving arms around them and reassure them that this to shall pass.
Father, remind us that in praying on a daily basis we are doing your will. Teach us to examine ourselves and repent of our sinful nature. Prepare us for each day and guide us with your love. Let us be sensitive to our brothers and sisters needs. Give us a heart of compassion to cry out to you for them.
Heavenly Father, the word tells us to wait on you and be of good courage; so I pray we don't get ahead of ourselves and we endure as we wait for your deliverance. Lord, you see all the dangers even the unseen; protect us from all the darts of the enemy. Father, help us to rise up and be the spiritual warriors you are calling us to be. Father give us strength; we need you, because without you we can't do anything.
Lord, we exalt your Holy name and we thank you for who you are. We thank you for never leaving or forsaking us. We thank you for hearing our prayer. In Jesus name we Pray. Amen
