Our Daily Prayer for Tuesday - First Lady Ayileru Morton

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written: “For Your sake we are killed all day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.” Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
— Romans 8:35-39

Scripture & Prayer for submitted by: First Lady Ayileru Morton

Dear Heavenly Father, we come to you in the name of your son Jesus. We glorify you and we worship you. You are great and greatly to be praised. We lift you up Lord above all else, you are worthy to receive all glory, honor, adoration and thanksgiving. Thank you Father for sending your son Jesus as a sacrifice for my sins. Thank you Lord Jesus for redeeming me through your blood. Thank you Holy Spirit for all you do, comforting, guiding and teaching us ever so gently. We acknowledge you, blessed Holy Trinity. Have mercy on us oh Lord! Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who have offended us.

We thank you for your love for us, though undeserving. Your loving kindness and your tender mercies are great towards us. Also Lord, we thank you because nothing can separate us from your love. As we face seasons of our life, that may prove very difficult, we are comforted because you love us. You will never leave us nor forsake us like you promised. You will be with us through the fire and through the storm.

Most Holy Lord, you remind us that we are more than conquerors because of your love. As we are faced with perils (uncertainty, violence, sickness, grief...), famine (loss of income, jobs,...), and so on, we will not fear and we will not murmur. We believe and are confident that neither death nor life, no evil not even Covid 19 shall be able to separate us from your love which is in Christ Jesus. Our faith is in you Lord!

No one can pluck us out of your hands, because you 'Our Father' are greater than all. Your word reminds us, "You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world."

We love you Lord. Thank you for giving us the victory through the blood of Jesus and the word of our testimony.

In Jesus' precious name.

Amen.
