Reliance On God In Unprecedented Times - Rev. Maulin Vanderburgh
Hope Contributor: Reverend Maulin Vanderburgh
As a nation, we face many challenges due to the global pandemic. Daily updates from Local and National Leaders have become the norm.
With school closures, as well as social and economic uncertainties, it is easy to become fearful and bewildered.
In the midst of all these unprecedented uncertainties, there is Hope.
Hope is defined as:
A desire for things to change for the better.
The confident expectation of what God has promised and its strength is in His faithfulness.
The Bible gives us hope in the midst of these trying and unprecedented times.
Psalm 91:4-5 (NLT)
He will cover you with his feathers.
He will shelter you with his wings.
His faithful promises are your armor and protection.
Do not be afraid of the terrors of the night,
nor the arrow that flies in the day.
Psalm 56:3-4 (NLT)
But when I am afraid,
I will put my trust in you.
I praise God for what he has promised.
I trust in God, so why should I be afraid?
What can mere mortals do to me?
Be encouraged, God is still in control. We are reminded that He was our help in times past and He is the same today.
O God, our help in ages past,
Our hope for years to come,
Our shelter from the stormy blast,
And our eternal home:
