Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

The realization that we can only take the past and learn the lessons they teach will help us to be able to use the lessons to succeed in the future.   The mistakes of the past do not define the plan and purpose that God has for our future.  We all try to be perfect; I would know, I am a girl people would call weird, and too smart and sometimes I want to be like the “perfect” people.

I struggle with the contradictions, what is wrong with being weird and smart, it’s the same as being different and I don’t think that different is a bad thing.  When we try to be this “perfect” person it tends to fail under its own weight, and we end up asking God, why can’t we be a certain way and when something goes wrong, we ask why can’t you change things.  You are a big God and have the power to answer any prayer move into any situation and change it, you have the power to still the storms we face.

God would not put us into a storm we cannot fight and when we go through struggles the real question we face is, can you Lord, change me so I may be strong and brave to fight this battle.  I may experience fear, but I am counting on your presence to change my fears into an unshakeable faith!  Many times, we look in the wrong places for everything but remember, it is all in Gods timing and in our trust in God for his perfect timing, because his timing is always perfect.

This brings to mind the verse in Matthew 11:28, “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”  So, I trust this mighty God to give me rest.
