Lord God, heavenly Father, we are poor, miserable sinners. We know your will, but we are too weak to fulfill it. Our flesh and blood hold us back, and our enemy - the devil - will not leave us in peace.
Pour your Holy Spirit in our hearts, that with steadfast faith we may cling to your Son Jesus Christ, find comfort in his passion and death, believe the forgiveness of sin through him and in willing obedience to your will lead holy lives on earth until by your grace we depart from this world of sorrow and obtain eternal life; through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one true God, now and forever.

Almighty and eternal God, by your Holy Spirit you have revealed to us the gospel of your Son, Christ Jesus. Awaken our hearts that we may sincerely receive your Word and not make light of it or hear it without fruit as did your people long ago.
Instead lead us to fear you and daily grow in faith in your mercy and finally through your Son Christ Jesus, obtain eternal salvation; through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one true God, now and forever.

Gracious God, move us to live every day as if it were to be our last, for we do not know if it might be.
Cause us to live as if we know it is our last hour.
O grant that we may not die with any guilt on our consciences or any known unrepented sin, but that we may be found in Christ, who is our only Savior and Redeemer.

Señor Dios, Padre celestial, somos pobres y miserables pecadores. Conocemos tu voluntad, pero somos demasiado débiles para cumplirla. Nuestra carne y nuestra sangre nos retienen, y nuestro enemigo, el diablo, no nos dejará en paz.
Derrama tu Espíritu Santo en nuestros corazones, para que con fe firme podamos aferrarnos a tu Hijo Jesucristo, encontrar consuelo en su pasión y muerte, creer en el perdón de los pecados por medio de él y en obediencia voluntaria a tu voluntad llevar vidas santas en la tierra hasta que por tu gracia partamos de este mundo de dolor y alcancemos la vida eterna; por tu Hijo, Jesucristo nuestro Señor, que vive y reina contigo y el Espíritu Santo, un solo Dios verdadero, ahora y por siempre.

Dios todopoderoso y eterno, por tu Espíritu Santo nos has revelado el evangelio de tu Hijo, Cristo Jesús. Despierta nuestros corazones para que recibamos sinceramente tu Palabra y no la tomemos a la ligera ni la escuchemos sin fruto como lo hizo tu pueblo hace mucho tiempo.
Al contrario, llévanos a temerte y crecer cada día en la fe en tu misericordia y, finalmente, por medio de tu Hijo Cristo Jesús, obtener la salvación eterna; por tu Hijo, Jesucristo nuestro Señor, que vive y reina contigo y el Espíritu Santo, un solo Dios verdadero, ahora y por siempre.

Dios misericordioso, muévenos a vivir cada día como si fuera el último, porque no sabemos si será.
Haz que vivamos como si supiéramos que es nuestra última hora.
Oh, concédenos que no muramos con ninguna culpa en nuestra conciencia o ningún pecado conocido del cual no nos hayamos arrepentido, sino que podamos ser hallados en Cristo, quien es nuestro único Salvador y Redentor.
