Our Daily Prayer for Friday - Millie McFarland

But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved.

Theme: "New Mercies"

Eternal and Righteous Father, I come into your holy presence with a repented heart recognizing that I must crucify my flesh daily. I thank you Father for your love, your grace and your "mercy" that is "new" every morning. It is by this same manor that you have saved me from the pit of destruction.

Father, I am amazed at the love, grace, and "mercy" that you bestow not only on me but to all who seek your holy face. Father, you have promised never to leave or forsake us no matter what comes our way. What a blessed assurance to know that You God are with us always.

Father, as we face these dark times in our world I cling to you in knowing that you are with me and that no matter how dark the night joy comes in the morning. You give us "new mercies" with each "new" day. Father, I pray that you give each person reading this hope for a brighter tomorrow. Reassure them that this too shall pass and that you are in control. You hold this world in the palm of your hand and nothing surprises you.

Father, I will continue to trust in you and I turn my life over to you. I pray that you pour out your "new mercies" on your people as they seek your face. I thank you for who you are and all that you do. In the mighty name of Jesus I pray.

Amen
