Our Daily Prayer for Wednesday - Jacklyn Cruz

I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
— Galatians 2:20 NIV

Theme: “God’s Love”

Heavenly Father, I come before You with a grateful and thankful heart. Thank You Father God, for Your unconditional "love" for me. Thank You for "loving" me first. Thank You for showing me what real "love" means and looks like.

You have always been there for me; in good times and in bad times. You have always been there by my side. I thank You for watching over me, I thank You for Your guidance, Your protection, and I thank You for my salvation. The word says in Ephesians 2:8-9, “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.”

Your "love" has never failed me in anyway, in spite of all of my shortcomings. Thank You Jesus, for being with me in my darkest times. In times where I found myself apart from You, depressed, lonely, sad, miserable, and not sure if I was going to make it another day. Forgive me Jesus, for not serving You the way I should have. Forgive me Jesus, for letting You down, and for doing things my way instead of Your way. Forgive me Jesus, for not following Your instructions, and forgive me Lord, for my sins.

Thank You Jesus, for wrapping Your "loving" arms around me and for never giving up on me. Lord, I want to be more like You. Lord, use me for Your glory; that I can let my light shine to others, that I can genuinely "love" others the way You have shown "Your love" for me despite of my flaws and imperfections. Thank You, for the peace and joy that You bring into my life, a peace and joy like no other.

I have learned throughout my past experiences to trust in You all the way no matter what comes my way. I have learned that You are in control of everything in my life; that I can’t lean on my own understanding because I am nothing without You, Lord. I can’t imagine my life without You. For You are my Abba Father, my rock, my Savior, Lord You are my everything. The word says in Jeremiah 31:3 “I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.”

Lord, I just simply thank You for Your grace and Your mercy. Father God, I pray that Your Holy Spirit will teach me, that Your wisdom will guide me, and that "Your love" will move me. Fill me up, God. That I can fix my eyes on you, Lord. The Holy Spirit lives in me. I will declare the word in Joshua 24:15, “As for me and my house we will serve the Lord.”

In Jesus' name I pray.

Amen.
