Our Daily Prayer for Thursday - Rev. Grace Reyes
Scripture & Prayer Submitted by: Rev. Grace Reyes
Theme: "Goodwill"
Heavenly Father, I come before your throne of Grace today on the eve of Christmas with a repentant and grateful heart. I am thankful Lord, for your guidance during a worldwide pandemic. I am thankful that you have protected my love ones and friends from sickness and harm during this time of darkness. You have been a wonderful provider, you are our Jehovah Jireh and also our healer.
As the world comes to terms with all of the challenges, we have all had to face and also those still to come; I ask you meet each one at their point of need. I ask that you soften hardened hearts, and you mend the broken ones. Use each one of us to extend a helping hand to those weaker and in need. Show us how we can be "good" shepherds towards each other. Give us a desire to manifest "good will" towards one another and equip us with the knowledge and tenderness to use kindness as a healing balm.
Lead us Lord, to be beacons of hope and to shed your glorious light upon the dark roads we face. Let our testimonies be filled with stories of various acts of kindness during this season and beyond.
Remind us in this season of your ultimate sacrifice, which was to give your only Son to save this lost world. Let us see in others your selfless action during this important time of Christmas and let that same light shine throughout the new year.
Amen
