“Is there still seed in the storehouse?

So now what? No seed, no grapes, no figs, no pomegranates, and no olives!
Lord, it is easier for me to trust you when I have food, shelter, clothes, friends, family, work, and
church. I don’t have to worry as much. That is the time when I feel you bless me. It’s the time I
feel your care.
But what happens when the things I count on are no longer available? How will I be able to
recognize You then?
What I have is the gift of faith You have given me. Any trust I have in You comes from You. You
have promised me your care and life in your Holy Spirit. I may be short of figs or olives, time, or
money. But everything I do have is your gift to me. Help me to be grateful. Help me to be
content with what I have.
St. Paul wrote about enduring good times and bad, hunger and plenty. The circumstances didn’t
matter, because God was always God. Lord, please bless me with faith that is this deep and constant.

¿Y ahora que? ¡Sin semillas, sin uvas, sin higos, sin granadas y sin aceitunas!
Señor, es más fácil para mí confiar en ti cuando tengo comida, techo, ropa, amigos, familia, trabajo y
iglesia. No tengo que preocuparme tanto. Ese es el momento en que siento que me bendices. es el momento en que yo
sentir tu cuidado.
Pero, ¿qué sucede cuando las cosas con las que cuento ya no están disponibles? ¿Cómo seré capaz de
reconocerte entonces?
Lo que tengo es el don de la fe que me has dado. Cualquier confianza que tengo en Ti viene de Ti. Tú
me has prometido tu cuidado y vida en tu Espíritu Santo. Puede que me falten higos o aceitunas, tiempo o
dinero. Pero todo lo que tengo es tu regalo para mí. Ayúdame a ser agradecido. ayúdame a ser
contento con lo que tengo.
San Pablo escribió sobre soportar los buenos y los malos tiempos, el hambre y la abundancia. Las circunstancias no
materia, porque Dios siempre fue Dios. Señor, por favor bendíceme con una fe tan profunda y constante.
