Our Daily Prayer for Saturday - Grace Reyes

Thus says the Lord:
“Cursed is the man who trusts in man
and makes flesh his strength,
whose heart turns away from the Lord.
He is like a shrub in the desert,
and shall not see any good come.
He shall dwell in the parched places of the wilderness,
in an uninhabited salt land.

“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord,
whose trust is the Lord.
He is like a tree planted by water,
that sends out its roots by the stream,
and does not fear when heat comes,
for its leaves remain green,
and is not anxious in the year of drought,
for it does not cease to bear fruit.
— Jeremiah 17:5:8 (ESV)

Scripture & Prayer submitted by:  Grace Reyes

Father God, I come humbly before your Holy throne of Grace. I ask for mercy, as I enter in and feel your presence; as you incline your ear to hear my humble cry. I cry out Lord, on behalf of so many grieving souls who are struggling in these darkest of dark times. I cry out for Mercy and deliverance for our children who face so many hardships and uncertainties.

Your word is faithful, and your promises are true. Your word promises that, “If my people who are called by my name humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”

2 Chronicles 7:14 (NKJV).

Lord, I ask you to forgive our sins and heal our land.  Not for me, but for my children and their children’s, children. For the future of this land, I ask you to please bring us your forgiveness and healing. I ask that you put a spirit of revival upon your servants, fill them with an overwhelming desire to praise and worship your Holy righteous name.

You are worthy of all the glory and honor Lord, and I will praise you before the rocks cry out ahead of me. Pour your living Holy water over this dry land and saturate each place upon your earth with living rain. Let it rain Lord, penetrate and saturate the land with your living restoring water.

I will be careful to thank you for all that you have done and all that you are doing in our favor.  Bring to repentance those who are operating outside of your will; give knowledge and wisdom to our leaders, as they make decisions that will affect us, as we go forward with the reopening of our institutions and places of worship. Be with us and guide us as we navigate the uncertainties that we face.

In your mercy I pray this in faith, that you are already working all things for our good.

  Amen
