Scripture & Prayer submitted by: Millie McFarland

Eternal Father, I come into your presence with a heart of worship and thanksgiving. I praise you for you are my righteousness and my hope. In you I have peace that surpasses all understanding. I thank you for all you do and for always being with me.

Father, today I lift all those who are tired and heavy burdened; I pray that you give them rest in you. Teach them to cast all their cares on you. Wrap your loving arms around them and reassure them you care and are there with them.

Father, I also lift up all of those that have isolated themselves, those suffering from anxiety, depression and fear. I rebuke the spirit of fear, I cast down all imagination and everything that is not of you. For you have not giving us the spirit of fear, but of power, of love, and of a sound mind. (2 Timothy 1:7) So I speak life to each; I declare hope, joy, strength and peace over everyone struggling with this right now. Be free, walk in your healing and your newness of life. Lean on Him, the giver of life and life eternal.

Father, your word says that, "Anxiety weighs down the heart, but a kind word cheers it up." (Proverbs 12:25 NIV) So, teach us to reach out and speak kind words to one another; that we may minister to someone weighed down with anxiety. Let me be the vessel to speak life to those individuals struggling with these types of strongholds. Teach us to be sensitive and have compassion.

Father, I thank you for giving me a burden to be a vessel of encouragement. Continue to pour into me so I may pour out into others. I lay this prayer at your throne room if grace. In the mighty name of Jesus I pray.

Amen
