Our Daily Prayer for Monday - Millie McFarland

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
— 1 Corinthians 13:4-5 NIV

Theme: "Love"

Gracious Father, I come into your throne room in total worship and adoration. I lift your Holy and Righteous name on high. I thank you for showing us the ultimate act of true "Love." Father you gave your one and only begotten Son to be the ultimate sacrifice so that we may have life; there is no greater "love."

The word tells us that we should "love" one another and that we should bear witness in "love." I pray that my life shines in those attributes and that I show God's "love" to all I encounter. Father teach us to live by what "love" really means. The word tells us that "love" is patient, it is kind, it does not envy or boast, it's not proud, it doesn't dishonor others, it's not self-seeking, it's not easily angered and it does not keep records of wrong. So, I pray we can follow what your word teaches us about the true meaning of "love.

Father, I thank you for your word for it is the guide in which we must live. Thank you for loving me even when I was unlovable. I lay this prayer at your throne room of grace. In the precious name of Jesus I pray.

Amen
