Worship.... A Powerful Force - Millie McFarland

Praise the Lord!
Praise God in His sanctuary;
Praise Him in His mighty firmament!
Praise Him for His mighty acts;
Praise Him according to His excellent greatness!
Praise Him with the sound of the [c]trumpet;
Praise Him with the lute and harp!
Praise Him with the timbrel and dance;
Praise Him with stringed instruments and flutes!
Praise Him with loud cymbals;
Praise Him with clashing cymbals!
Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.
Praise the Lord!
— Psalm 150 (NKJV)

How easy it can be to take things for granted. During this Pandemic I realized how blessed and powerful it was to be able to be in a worship service. In a place where you are congregated with God's children; with a like mind, in one accord; lifting up our voices as if in one joyful chorus. Oh how I've missed that, and it has also shown me that we can't get complacent and comfortable in how we worship, because it will become routine and God isn't pleased with that.

Our worship needs to be intimate and personal; even in the midst of a crowd. God wants our sincere praise and worship. During this time, God has dealt with me and He has drawn me closer into relationship with Him. It has been an eye opening and life changing experience. We must praise Him not only in His sanctuary, but everywhere you go. You can praise Him with instruments as you can just use your mouth and hands. The word says, "Let everything that has breath praise the Lord". Psalms 150:6 NKJV

I truly believe if we all draw closer and worship Him in spirit and in truth; our worship experience will be a different one. As the bible says, "God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth". John 4:24 NKJV

There's something truly powerful and amazing about being in a Praise and worship service; where everyone is in one accord. There is an aroma that flows up and reaches the throne room of heaven. If you take a moment and pause to just listen as the praise and worship goes up; you sense a peace and a unspeakable joy that sweeps across the room. It is a beautiful sight to behold. This makes God arise from His resting place and makes Him abide in our praise. What a POWERFUL FORCE we are when we worship in one accord.

Today I invite you to seek Him in spirit and truth; put away all your busyness and enter into His throne room with a spirit of worship. I guarantee you will never be the same.
