Cry Of The Watchmen - Rev. Grace Reyes

Again the word of the LORD came to me, saying, “Son of man, speak to the children of your people, and say to them: ‘When I bring the sword upon a land, and the people of the land take a man from their territory and make him their watchman, when he sees the sword coming upon the land, if he blows the trumpet and warns the people, then whoever hears the sound of the trumpet and does not take warning, if the sword comes and takes him away, his blood shall be on his own head. He heard the sound of the trumpet but did not take warning; his blood shall be upon himself. But he who takes warning will save his life. But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet, and the people are not warned, and the sword comes and takes any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood I will require at the watchman’s hand.’
— Ezekiel 33:1-6 NKJV

The Lord dropped in my spirit a warning, that the time is at hand when the Son of God will appear in the dawn of the day, the trumpets are at the ready and he will come to gather his people.

Ezekiel carried a warning back then about the work that was still to be done and the Lord showed him the vast amount of bones that were scattered, dry in the morning sun with no sign of life or hope of it.  The message is about the dryness we also face in our land today and the watchman is sounding the alarm for believers and those that are lost.

In the first verse of Ezekiel 33 the word of the Lord comes to him as a command to speak to the children of God, saying in other words, if you “see something” you have the responsibility to “say something”.

In Revelation 3:14-22 NKJV God gives clear instruction to his believers to turn from their wicked ways.  To be lukewarm in God’s kingdom is seen as an abomination.  God has declared that he will vomit the Laodiceans out!  This is a very harsh statement, but a much-needed reminder as we look out at the dark times that have covered the earth.

Of the watchman it states in Ezekiel 33:3-4 “when he sees the sword coming upon the land, if he blows the trumpet and warns the people,  then whoever hears the sound of the trumpet and does not take warning, if the sword comes and takes him away, his blood shall be on his own head.”

Disciples are called into action like never before, the Lord is creating our modern-day Acts chapter 2 moment by shutting the doors of His sanctuary and forcing us out into the fields to worship and pray, right from our homes.  We have been challenged to take the gospel to the masses through our own efforts instead of relying on the church, we have been moved to be the church!

Just as in Ezekiel 37:3-6 the Lord asks the prophet whether or not the bones strewn on the ground could live, he wisely answers, “you know Lord,” he then commands Ezekiel to prophecy to the same bones to live.  Have we not seen a great many dry bones in the last 6 months?  The faith walkers are being called out of the church on two feet to believe in the revival God has promised, to speak LIFE to the masses.  There is a revival fragrance in the air that is reaching the throne of the almighty as He begins to pour His living water on all the areas of our lives.

Our fervent prayer and fasting has touched the heart of God.  Those people as in 2 Chronicles 7:14, who are called by His name and have turned from their wicked ways and have humbled themselves, have touched this merciful God.  We must heed the alarm of the watchmen who have been given this responsibility to warn us, that we must stay steadfast in our faith and always in His word, praying without ceasing for deliverance in order to reap the blessings He wants to bring to his people.
