An Invitation To An Abundant Life - Rev. Grace Reyes
Submitted by : Rev. Grace Reyes
The verses in Isaiah are profoundly hopeful. They are an invitation to partake of an abundant life, a life full of blessings that the Lord has in store for all that believe In Him. God is calling us to a higher visual ground that sees wider and farther than our human eyes.
He is calling us to expect more than what we may see in the natural because His ways are not our ways (v. 8). He asks us to imagine a hope that is deeper than what we have known, if only because we have had the privilege of witnessing what he can do.
His word brings forth peace and courage to those who believe that the God they serve can manifest in ways they cannot fully comprehend, where their minds cannot fully imagine it in their here and now places.
Just as the rain and the snow come down from heaven and are used to water the earth, the result is fertile ground. We may not see the blessings as they come, it could be the preparation of the blessings as we patiently wait for the rain to water the dry areas of our lives and it is then seen later, key word here, later, will yield the fruit and the harvest. So, it is with our faith, that what we ask for will come in God’s perfect time.
So, rejoice because the God you serve does all things in order (v. 12) and hold on to this assurance and stay calm in the storms of life, be patient as you wait on His promises and while you wait, pray without ceasing, believing that His word does not return void but will accomplish what it was set out to do.
Declare in the atmosphere that he is for you and no weapon that is formed against you shall ever prosper. Be bold and courageous as you face this day in Him. He is still on the throne and he loves His children. Live abundantly in your faith in Him.
