Dedicated to all our fathers, stepdad's, and father figures; spiritual and natural. And especially all of the shepherds who lay down their lives daily for their sheep!
Dear Heavenly Father, There is great shame and pain when a child does not have a good father consistent in their lives. You knew that since the beginning of time and just like a good Father, you provided everything we need. When You provided Your Son Jesus Christ for our sins and sent Your Holy Spirit to help us until the Lord’s return, You set the example of the perfect Father.
You are the best teacher, support and friend. You’ve given these characteristics to faithful men. “Pater” in the Greek means generator, ancestor, protector or provider. Today we have plenty of generators and ancestors but fewer and fewer protectors and providers. Yet you call good men to be husbandmen, care givers, protectors and shepherds.
You have blessed us with all of these quietly kept men who do the simple things we take for granted. Many good fathers go unnoticed. They receive a tie or a fishing pole but their worth is priceless. Without them, the jail cells and rehab centers are overflowing, yet good fathers are so easily overlooked and taken for granted. Especially, good pastors and leaders.
But Lord, You see their silently shed tears. You cover and strengthen their secret fears. Continue to carry all their casted cares and uplifted prayers. Be the glory and the lifter of their heads everyday! Defend, protect, and provide for each of them. Even answer the prayers they are too humble and self sacrificial to ask. And with long, abundant and enjoyable life, please satisfy them!

Dedicado a todos nuestros padres, padrastros y figuras paternas; espirituales y naturales. ¡Y especialmente a todos los pastores que día a día dan la vida por sus ovejas!
Querido Padre Celestial, Hay una gran vergüenza y dolor cuando un niño no tiene un buen padre constante en su vida. Sabías que desde el principio de los tiempos y como buen Padre, nos diste todo lo que necesitamos. Cuando diste a tu Hijo Jesucristo por nuestros pecados y enviaste tu Espíritu Santo para ayudarnos hasta el regreso del Señor, diste el ejemplo del Padre perfecto.
Eres el mejor maestro, apoyo y amigo. Has dado estas características a los hombres fieles. “Pater” en griego significa generador, antepasado, protector o proveedor. Hoy nos sobran generadores y ancestros pero cada vez menos protectores y proveedores. Sin embargo, llamas a los hombres buenos para que sean labradores, cuidadores, protectores y pastores.
Nos has bendecido con todos estos hombres discretos que hacen las cosas simples que damos por sentadas. Muchos buenos padres pasan desapercibidos. Reciben una corbata o una caña de pescar pero su valor no tiene precio. Sin ellos, las celdas de la cárcel y los centros de rehabilitación están desbordados, pero los buenos padres son fácilmente pasados por alto y se dan por sentados. Especialmente, buenos pastores y líderes.
Pero Señor, Tú ves sus lágrimas derramadas en silencio. Cubres y fortaleces sus miedos secretos. Continúen llevando todos sus cuidados emitidos y oraciones elevadas. ¡Sé la gloria y el que levanta sus cabezas todos los días! Defiende, protege y provee para cada uno de ellos. Incluso responde las oraciones que son demasiado humildes y sacrificadas para pedir. Y con una vida larga, abundante y placentera, ¡por favor satisfaga!
En el poderoso nombre de Jesús, oramos,
