Theme: A Mother’s Love – A prayer for Tyre Nichols’ mother.

Dear Lord,

We thank and praise you for your omniscience. We know in due time we will understand the perils of this world. Father, one thing we know for sure is that your love will not allow Tyre Nichols’ mother to absorb the pain of losing her son by herself for you are with her. Lord, please let Tyre Nichols’ mother feel your loving arms around her in her time of despair. Lord, please let Tyre Nichols’ mother feel strength from the multitude of prayer warriors that continue to cover her in prayer. Just like a loving mother will not abandon her child, Lord your love is so great that you will never abandon, forsake, or forget us. We know that you have not forgotten about the Nichols family.

One may ask if God really loves us, why does he allow us to endure such heart ache, sadness, sickness, and death? God’s love is multifaceted. God loves us enough to allow us to have the freedom to make decisions of our own. Lord, we know you have all power but you will not abuse your power because you said, “Behold, I stand at the door and knock: if any man hears my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.” [ Revelation 3:20].

Lord, we pray that you help each one of us to make decisions that are motivated by your love and not be selfishness, hatred, or harm. Lord, we know in this instance it is easy to feel no love for those who are responsible for hurting us. This is why we cry out “HELP” from the very depths of our souls. We need your spirit of love to pour into us and fill the empty spaces of our hearts. Thank you Lord for hearing our humble cry. Thank you Lord for bearing our heartache. Thank you Lord for your endless and unwavering love. In your name we pray.

The aforementioned prayer was written on February 1, 2023, the day the Nichols family laid Tyre Nichols to rest. Police brutality must end and the love of God must abound in all that we do, think, and say.

Tema: El amor de una madre: una oración por la madre de Tire Nichols.

Querido señor,

Te agradecemos y te alabamos por tu omnisciencia. Sabemos que a su debido tiempo comprenderemos los peligros de este mundo. Padre, una cosa que sabemos con certeza es que tu amor no permitirá que la madre de Tire Nichols absorba sola el dolor de perder a su hijo porque estás con ella. Señor, permite que la madre de Tire Nichols sienta tus brazos amorosos a su alrededor en su momento de desesperación. Señor, permite que la madre de Tire Nichols sienta la fuerza de la multitud de guerreros de oración que continúan cubriéndola en oración. Así como una madre amorosa no abandonará a su hijo, Señor tu amor es tan grande que nunca nos abandonarás, desampararás u olvidarás. Sabemos que no te has olvidado de la familia Nichols.

Uno puede preguntarse si Dios realmente nos ama, ¿por qué nos permite soportar tal dolor de corazón, tristeza, enfermedad y muerte? El amor de Dios es multifacético. Dios nos ama lo suficiente como para permitirnos tener la libertad de tomar nuestras propias decisiones. Señor, sabemos que tienes todo el poder pero no abusarás de tu poder porque dijiste: “He aquí, yo estoy a la puerta y llamo; si alguno oye mi voz y abre la puerta, entraré a él, y cenaré con él, y él conmigo. [Apocalipsis 3:20].

Señor, te pedimos que nos ayudes a cada uno de nosotros a tomar decisiones que estén motivadas por tu amor y no por egoísmo, odio o daño. Señor, sabemos que en este caso es fácil no sentir amor por aquellos que son responsables de lastimarnos. Por eso clamamos “AYUDA” desde lo más profundo de nuestra alma. Necesitamos que tu espíritu de amor se derrame en nosotros y llene los espacios vacíos de nuestros corazones. Gracias Señor por escuchar nuestro humilde clamor. Gracias Señor por soportar nuestro dolor. Gracias Señor por tu amor infinito e inquebrantable. En tu nombre oramos.

La oración antes mencionada fue escrita el 1 de febrero de 2023, el día en que la familia Nichols sepultó a Tire Nichols. La brutalidad policial debe terminar y el amor de Dios debe abundar en todo lo que hacemos, pensamos y decimos.
