Our Daily Prayer for Tuesday - Candace Buchanan

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil. This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones.
— Proverbs 3:5‭-‬8 NIV

Scripture & Prayer Submitted by: Candace Buchanan

Father, in the name of Jesus,  we come to you, acknowledging you as the sovereign God. In this time of confusion and uncertainty, we are so grateful that you know all things. You are Alpha and Omega. You know our beginnings and our endings. In this time of social distancing and isolation, we are never really alone because you are always with us. You said that you would not leave us nor forsake us. In this time when we often feel helpless, we take comfort in knowing you are all powerful. There is nothing too hard for you. If you watch over the bird's of the air and the lilies of the field, certainly you  are watching over us too. So,  Father we put our trust in you by placing everything in your hands. As your word instructs us, we are casting our cares on you because you care for us.

Father, we approach your throne boldly and with confidence that we will find help in this time of need. There is so much that we do not know or understand about the Covid-19 virus . Doctors,  scientists, governments and even your people seem confounded. Father, we ask for your wisdom in how to contain, treat and eradicate this virus. Show our world leaders how to safely revitalize our economies. In this time when there are so many voices, give your people a keen ear to hear your voice clearly. Your word said that your people know your voice and another they will not follow. Forgive us our shortcomings, unite us and fill us with love and compassion for others.

And Father, for those of us  whose faith has wavered, forgive us and strengthen us.  Touch those who are sick,  comfort those who have lost loved ones and provide for those who have lost their jobs.  For those who have simply given up, restore hope.

Father, we pray that this world will realize that you are the answer to all our questions. We know that if we trust you to lead and guide us,  we will be victorious. Father, we thank you for hearing and answering our prayers.  Amen.
