Our Daily Prayer for Tuesday - Bernardo Cruz

Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
— Philippians 4:4-7 NIV

Theme: "Be Encouraged & Rejoice"

Heavenly Father, as I reflect on what the apostle Paul wrote to the believers in Philippi, let us be encouraged by his words.  "To rejoice in the Lord always" he says it again Rejoice! Even when things aren't going our way, Rejoice! Even when there is sickness, Rejoice! Or even when there are more bills then money, Rejoice! For God will make a way where there is now way.

Like Paul, who was sitting in a prison facing persecution of his own, encouraging others not to allow the problems of this world  keep us from seeing Gods blessing in our lives. He encourages us to "think of things that are true, things that are noble, things that are right, pure, lovely and even admirable to always keep these things in front of our minds." So, that the peace of God will be with us. God has given us more then we can hope and or even imagine. Because we have been united with Christ, His love comforts us, the joy of the Lord is our strength.

Help us God not to put our trust in the things of this world. Help us not to put so much confidence in our own abilities or in the abilities of others, but help us to put our trust and confidence in you and you alone, Lord. Teach us God to be content in every situation we are in knowing that you are always with us. Help us as believers in Christ to share in the burden and the suffering of others so that others can see you in us.

Thank you for what you are doing and what your going to do.  In Jesus Name.

Amen.
