“The biblical role of a parent is to be a good steward of the children God has placed into their care. Parents have the responsibility to care for the spiritual, emotional, and physical well-being of their children. The most important biblical duty of a parent is to teach their children about Jesus in action and word.”
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, I thank you for blessing me with the dad you handpicked for me. All you do is done in love. The greatest gift we received was that of the creation of mankind, as it is written in Genesis. You know the number of hairs on our head, and you knew what parents we would have. We know all of your ways are perfect and intentional Lord. You make no mistakes and I’m grateful to be the daughter of the King of Kings and also the daughter of the earthly father I had the honor of calling “dad.”
Although he is no longer with us, I can say that I was blessed with having a father who fulfilled his biblical role as a parent. He made it personal Lord, when he taught me about your existence. I watched him fast year after year. He would discipline himself and although I didn’t understand it, I looked up to him like a strong man. He worked really long hours and was a provider. He instilled good qualities in me, thank you Jesus!
Lord, although we stumble, You are there to pick us up. When we are weak, You make us strong. When we are in the valley, You help us look up to You. You never leave us, nor forsake us and for that I’m forever thankful.
Although my dad passed away 22 years ago, before he left to be with the Lord, his vision and his testimony will forever remain vivid in my heart. One thing I won’t ever question, despite the harshest situations I may face, is to question God’s existence. Through my dad’s experience and journey, and some of our final conversations, I received confirmation that all of the beautiful promises written in the Bible, are 100% true! Thank you Lord, for Your grace and mercy! Thank you for Your blessings and most of all, Your love! In Jesus Holy name, Amen and Amen.

“El papel bíblico de un padre es ser un buen administrador de los niños que Dios ha puesto a su cuidado. Los padres tienen la responsabilidad de cuidar el bienestar espiritual, emocional y físico de sus hijos. El deber bíblico más importante de un padre es enseñar a sus hijos acerca de Jesús en acción y palabra ”.
Oración:
Padre Celestial, te agradezco por bendecirme con el padre que escogiste para mí. Todo lo que haces es con amor. El mayor regalo que recibimos fue el de la creación de la humanidad, como está escrito en Génesis. Sabes la cantidad de cabellos de nuestra cabeza y sabías qué padres tendríamos. Sabemos que todos tus caminos son perfectos e intencionales, Señor. No comete errores y estoy agradecida de ser la hija del Rey de Reyes y también la hija del padre terrenal al que tuve el honor de llamar "papá".
Aunque ya no está con nosotros, puedo decir que tuve la suerte de tener un padre que cumplió con su papel bíblico como padre. Lo hizo personal, Señor, cuando me enseñó sobre tu existencia. Lo veía ayunar año tras año. Se disciplinaba a sí mismo y, aunque no lo entendía, lo admiraba como un hombre fuerte. Trabajaba muchas horas y era proveedor. Me inculcó buenas cualidades, ¡gracias Jesús!
Señor, aunque tropecemos, Tú estás ahí para levantarnos. Cuando somos débiles, nos haces fuertes. Cuando estamos en el valle, nos ayudas a verte. Nunca nos dejas, ni nos desamparas y por eso estaré eternamente agradecido.
Aunque mi padre falleció hace 22 años, antes de irse para estar con el Señor, su visión y su testimonio permanecerán vivos para siempre en mi corazón. Una cosa que nunca cuestionaré, a pesar de las situaciones más duras que pueda enfrentar, es cuestionar la existencia de Dios. A través de la experiencia y el viaje de mi padre, y algunas de nuestras conversaciones finales, recibí la confirmación de que todas las hermosas promesas escritas en la Biblia son 100% verdaderas. ¡Gracias Señor, por Tu gracia y misericordia! Gracias por Tus bendiciones y, sobre todo, ¡Tu amor! En Jesús Santo nombre, Amén y Amén.
