“My son, obey your father’s godly instruction and follow your mother’s life-giving teaching. 21 Fill your heart with their advice and let your life be shaped by what they’ve taught you. 22 Their wisdom will guide you wherever you go and keep you from bringing harm to yourself. Their instruction will whisper to you at every sunrise and direct you through a brand-new day.”

Dear Heavenly Father, Thank you so much for my mom. Thank you Lord, for the woman who gave birth to me and has loved me ever since.
Lord God, I am so grateful for her impact on my life, for her presence, for her love. Thank you for every moment she was there to pick me up from school, was present at my basketball and baseball games; and at every moment she helped me heal from my trials and tribulations that I endured.
Thank you for every phone call, hug, compliment and even the complaints. Thank you that despite us not always getting along, our love has endured.
Lord God, I am so grateful for my mom and pray that you help me to be a better son and honor her every single day. Show me how I can express appreciation for all that she has done. Lord God, please help me practice patience when I feel like she’s being too much, asking me the same questions over and over due to her dementia or for her being too bossy, or too much like a mom. Honestly Lord God, who would I be without my mother?
I pray to you now, God, asking you to bless the time that she still has left on this earth. Please bring her comfort when she experiences sickness and body aches. Please give her continued direction for her life. Keep her mind renewed. Lord God, I ask that the remainder of her life may be enriched, that she would still feel like she has purpose to fulfill, despite having accomplished so much already.
And may she not just continue to be a blessing upon my life, but to my siblings, other relatives, friends, and anyone else who knows my mom. I Thank you for her, God. Thank you God, very much.

Querido Padre Celestial, Muchas gracias por mi mamá. Gracias Señor, por la mujer que me dio a luz y me ama desde entonces.
Señor Dios, estoy tan agradecida por su impacto en mi vida, por su presencia, por su amor. Gracias por cada momento que estuvo allí para recogerme de la escuela, estuvo presente en mis juegos de baloncesto y béisbol; y en todo momento ella me ayudó a sanar de mis pruebas y tribulaciones que soporté.
Gracias por cada llamada telefónica, abrazo, cumplido e incluso quejas. Gracias porque a pesar de que no siempre nos llevamos bien, nuestro amor ha perdurado.
Señor Dios, estoy muy agradecido por mi madre y oro para que me ayudes a ser un mejor hijo y la honres todos los días. Muéstrame cómo puedo expresar aprecio por todo lo que ella ha hecho. Señor Dios, por favor ayúdame a practicar la paciencia cuando siento que ella está siendo demasiado, haciéndome las mismas preguntas una y otra vez debido a su demencia o porque es demasiado mandona o demasiado como una madre. Honestamente Señor Dios, ¿quién sería yo sin mi madre?
Te ruego ahora, Dios, pidiéndote que bendigas el tiempo que aún le queda en esta tierra. Por favor, tráigale consuelo cuando experimente enfermedades y dolores en el cuerpo. Por favor, dale dirección continua para su vida. Mantén su mente renovada. Señor Dios, te pido que el resto de su vida se enriquezca, que todavía sienta que tiene un propósito que cumplir, a pesar de haber logrado tanto.
Y que ella no solo siga siendo una bendición para mi vida, sino también para mis hermanos, otros parientes, amigos y cualquier otra persona que conozca a mi mamá. Gracias por ella, Dios. Gracias Dios, muchas gracias.
