Our Daily Prayer for Sunday - Sis. Lakeisha Singleton Bilingual Spanish/English
“When my father and mother forsake me, then the Lord will take care of me,”

Dear Lord,
We thank and praise you for allowing us another opportunity to celebrate and honor mothers and mother figures. Father, you placed us in our mothers’ wombs on purpose and we know you have never made a mistake. We ask that you help all mothers and mother figures to live our lives with Godly purpose that we may set an example of holiness and righteousness for our children.
We pray for single mothers who are raising children without their fathers. Even though they are single we know that they are not alone because you are with them and you will take care of them. We lift up all those in prayer who are grief-stricken and sad because they lost their mother due to COVID-19. We ask Lord that you take away the sadness and comfort them. Let them know Lord that you have not forsaken them and you understand their pain. Father, we ask that you fill their hearts with your peace.
Lord, we lift up in prayer all the mothers who have lost children to gun violence. We ask Father that you replace their pain with praise. Teach them to praise you despite their circumstances. Lord, we know that through praise and worship you can restore their joy and mend their broken hearts.
Lord, we lift up in prayer mothers who are incarcerated and incapacitated. Many of them desire to be with their children but they cannot be with them. We ask Lord that you take away the guilt and shame that troubles them. Lord allow them to one day reconnect with their children and loved ones. Teach them how to be Godly mothers. Teach them how to nurture, love, and intercede in prayer for their children. Teach them to be willing to seek forgiveness.
Lord, we lift up in prayer all the mothers who had to make the difficult decision to leave their children in another place in search of a better future in this country. We ask that you lead and guide them and give them your wisdom. Lord, we know that there is nothing too hard for you to do. We ask that you reunite mothers with their children. These children may feel forsaken as though they are unloved and unwanted but Father we ask that you send earthly angels to comfort and care for them.
Lord, we thank you for all the mothers who have stood in the gap for the motherless. We thank you for grandmothers, godmothers, foster mothers, aunts, church mothers, and teachers who did not forsake the motherless child. They had a heart of compassion and was willing to love and care for children that they did not birth. We thank you Lord for their selflessness and the sacrifices that they make to care for the forsaken and those who were neglected.
Father, I thank you for my mother. I thank you for my grandmothers who cared for me when I felt forsaken. On this Mother’s Day, I honor these women of faith who provided for me in my time of need. Thank you Lord for all of the mothers who have served a distinct purpose in my life. May each of them have a Happy Mother’s Day. In Jesus’ name we pray.

Querido señor,
Te agradecemos y te alabamos por darnos otra oportunidad para celebrar y honrar a las madres y figuras maternas. Padre, nos colocaste en el útero de nuestras madres a propósito y sabemos que nunca te has equivocado. Te pedimos que ayudes a todas las madres y figuras maternas a vivir nuestras vidas con un propósito piadoso para que podamos dar un ejemplo de santidad y justicia a nuestros hijos.
Oramos por las madres solteras que están criando hijos sin sus padres. Aunque sean solteros sabemos que no están solos porque tú estás con ellos y los cuidarás. Levantamos a todos aquellos en oración que están afligidos y tristes porque perdieron a su madre debido al COVID-19. Te pedimos al Señor que les quites la tristeza y los consueles. Hágales saber, Señor, que no los ha abandonado y que comprende su dolor. Padre, te pedimos que llenes sus corazones con tu paz.
Señor, levantamos en oración a todas las madres que han perdido a sus hijos a causa de la violencia con armas de fuego. Le pedimos al Padre que reemplace su dolor con alabanza. Enséñeles a elogiarlo a pesar de sus circunstancias. Señor, sabemos que a través de la alabanza y la adoración puedes restaurar su gozo y reparar sus corazones quebrantados.
Señor, levantamos en oración a las madres encarceladas e incapacitadas. Muchos de ellos desean estar con sus hijos pero no pueden estar con ellos. Le pedimos al Señor que elimine la culpa y la vergüenza que les preocupa. Señor, permíteles volver a conectarse algún día con sus hijos y seres queridos. Enséñeles cómo ser madres piadosas. Enséñeles cómo nutrir, amar e interceder en oración por sus hijos. Enséñeles a estar dispuestos a buscar el perdón.
Señor, levantamos en oración a todas las madres que tuvieron que tomar la difícil decisión de dejar a sus hijos en otro lugar en busca de un mejor futuro en este país. Te pedimos que los lideres y guíes y les des tu sabiduría. Señor, sabemos que no hay nada demasiado difícil para ti. Les pedimos que reúnan a las madres con sus hijos. Estos niños pueden sentirse abandonados como si no fueran amados ni deseados, pero Padre, te pedimos que envíes ángeles terrenales para consolarlos y cuidarlos.
Señor, te damos gracias por todas las madres que han estado en la brecha por los huérfanos. Agradecemos a las abuelas, madrinas, madres adoptivas, tías, madres de la iglesia y maestros que no abandonaron al niño sin madre. Tenían un corazón compasivo y estaban dispuestos a amar y cuidar a los niños que no habían nacido. Te damos gracias Señor por su abnegación y los sacrificios que hacen para cuidar a los desamparados y descuidados.
Padre, te agradezco por mi madre. Les agradezco por mis abuelas que me cuidaron cuando me sentí abandonada. En este Día de la Madre, honro a estas mujeres de fe que me ayudaron en mi momento de necesidad. Gracias Señor por todas las madres que han tenido un propósito distinto en mi vida. Que cada uno tenga un Feliz Día de la Madre. En el nombre de Jesús oramos.
