Our Daily Prayer for Friday - Lakeisha Singleton
Theme: Peace
Scripture and prayer submitted by Lakeisha Singleton
Father, we kneel today before you to humbly ask you for your peace. Lord we need your peace to continue on this journey so that our anxieties will not deplete our peace.
Philippians 4:6-7, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” (New International Version)
Father, we know that it is not your will for us to endure discord, strife, stress or any situation that would diminish our peace. Lord, we know that it is not your will for us to live in a peaceless home or a peaceless world. Our lives should manifest the peace of God in all that we do and/or say.
Father, teach us to be peace ambassadors for the kingdom so much so that a spirit of peace will be with us even in the midst of a turbulent storm. Lord, let your peace permeate our homes, workplaces, churches, and schools.
Father, during the holiday season many become overwhelmed by sadness, depression, restlessness, and loneliness. Lord, we pray that your peaceful presence will rest, rule, and abide in all hearts, minds, and souls. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen. “Si es posible, en cuanto dependa de vosotros, vivid en paz con todos”.
