God is…
The other day I heard a powerful message on YouTube that captured my attention and had such an impact. Every word I heard resonated deep within my spirit. I felt God, and I felt so very blessed. Later that night as I thought about the message, I began to worship Him. The more I thought about the message the more I worshiped and praised God. I realized that I was different, that my praise was different. I had a greater admiration, and a greater respect for God. I found myself in awe and wonder of His omnipotence.
I wanted to share some of words I heard, the descriptions of God that captivated me and brought me into worship.
God is, the living God, God the Creator of the world; Ruach Elohim, the wind and breath of God. He is, Adonai Elohim, My (our) Lord, Master, Provider. He is Covenant Maker, judge, and our avenger. He is, El Elyon, the Most High God! He is our Shield, our great reward and the Living One Who sees us! God is, El Shaddai, Almighty God, God of heaven, The Everlasting God, and much more!
God is, I AM, He is our deliverer and redeemer. He is the God of miracles, and Adonai Who fights for us. He is our strength and our song. He is our healer and warrior! He is Jehovah Nissi, Lord our banner. He is, compassionate, gracious, slow to anger, loving-kindness, truth, mercy… He is the Glory in the Tabernacle!
God is Holy. Adonai Who sets us apart and He is, Adonai Who goes before us.
He is the Sovereign of all the earth! He is, Adonai Tzva’ot, Lord of Host. He is All knowing, the Ruach of Adonai, the Spirit of the Lord. He is, our King, the giver of wisdom and promise keeper. God is, Abba our Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit. He is the WORD made flesh; God is Love. God is, the Alpha and Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end!
In all my years of serving the LORD I have learned so much about Who He is, but I am still learning. Every time I learn something new, it brings me into a deeper revelation of Who He is and how immeasurable His love is towards His children. I’m always astonished of how He meets us at our very need. He is an awesome God! Nothing and no one can compare to Him or the love he showers down upon us!
