Wake Up All You Shepherds And Gather Your Sheep! Message from the Lord– Rev. Grace Reyes

And the word of the LORD came to me, saying, 2 “Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel, prophesy and say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD to the shepherds: “Woe to the shepherds of Israel who feed themselves! Should not the shepherds feed the flocks? 3 You eat the fat and clothe yourselves with the wool; you slaughter the fatlings, but you do not feed the flock. 4 The weak you have not strengthened, nor have you healed those who were sick, nor bound up the broken, nor brought back what was driven away, nor sought what was lost; but with force and cruelty you have ruled them. 5 So they were scattered because there was no shepherd; and they became food for all the beasts of the field when they were scattered. 6 My sheep wandered through all the mountains, and on every high hill; yes, My flock was scattered over the whole face of the earth, and no one was seeking or searching for them.”
7 ‘Therefore, you shepherds, hear the word of the LORD: 8 “As I live,” says the Lord GOD, “surely because My flock became a prey, and My flock became food for every beast of the field, because there was no shepherd, nor did My shepherds search for My flock, but the shepherds fed themselves and did not feed My flock”— 9 therefore, O shepherds, hear the word of the LORD! 10 Thus says the Lord GOD: “Behold, I am against the shepherds, and I will require My flock at their hand; I will cause them to cease feeding the sheep, and the shepherds shall feed themselves no more; for I will deliver My flock from their mouths, that they may no longer be food for them.”
— Ezekiel 34:1-10 NKJV

There is a warning for those who know God’s commands and have long basked in a place of haughty righteousness.  The Lord will turn His face when the sun begins to peek above the distant mountains in the early dawn light.  Men and women who have long been seated in the front of the temples reading His word, feeding on it, yet have been devoid of His compassion and Grace, who have not extended their hands to help the helpless but instead have preferred to defend the indefensible and give wisdom to unworthy serpents with the darkest of hearts.

In Ezekiel 34:3-4 it states, “You eat the fat and clothe yourselves with the wool; you slaughter the fatlings, but you do not feed the flock. The weak you have not strengthened, nor have you healed those who were sick, nor bound up the broken, nor brought back what was driven away, nor sought what was lost; but with force and cruelty you have ruled them.”

The Lord is judging his leadership.  He warns the shepherds that there is an urgent need to gather the flock together that have been scattered during these dark times.  He urges those who are leaders to go forth and feed them and bind their wounds.  It is a time to help the flock to heal and to hear His word, to keep them from becoming prey to the beast who goes around seeking who he may devour.

The Lord shall cause others to rise up and begin to bind the wounds of the oppressed and the suffering.  He will gather His flock and feed them once again His word.  The Lord speaks of a reckoning that will come in like the wind and this will cause a revival fire.  There too, He will judge those still slumbering and those who follow liars and men who are not of Him.

The Lord of Hosts saith, “Do not be fooled, I am the one who have brought men to the edge of the rivers of living waters to cleanse themselves of all iniquities. Many will seek me and repent and will join in My new covenant that I will forge with my chosen people.  I am calling out from My throne to the chosen, those I have anointed and given gifts.”

Go out and do God’s will, bring together the lost and feed them the living word and have them drink of His everlasting living water.  Give them an encouraging word, seek them and lead them to the master once again.
